Dr. Carla Kekejian | PhD., CCC-SLP

Founder & Speech-Language Pathologist

Dr. Carla Kekejian is a bilingual speech-language pathologist licensed in California and Utah. She holds the Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) and has over a decade of experience supporting children with a wide range of communication needs.

Dr. Kekejian earned her Ph.D. and M.S. in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of Utah and an M.A. in Education from UCLA, with a focus on Human Development and Psychology. Born and raised in Los Angeles, she is deeply connected to the culturally diverse communities of Southern California, which continue to shape her compassionate, family-centered approach.

Her clinical expertise includes speech sound disorders, language delays and disorders, autism spectrum disorders, fluency disorders, childhood apraxia of speech, and augmentative and alternative communication (AAC). Dr. Kekejian brings advanced expertise in the assessment and treatment of communication disorders in bilingual and multilingual children. She provides individualized, strengths-based care that supports each child’s unique communication profile.

In addition to her work at SoCal Speech-Language Therapy, Dr. Kekejian is a lecturer at California State University, Northridge (CSUN), where she trains future speech-language pathologists in ethical, evidence-based, and culturally responsive care.

Her mission is to create a warm, collaborative space where children feel safe, supported, and empowered to grow—and where families feel seen, heard, and guided every step of the way.
